Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin are professional artists with over 50 years of combined painting experience. They founded Squeegee Press in 2015 then SP CREATE in 2018 to offer books, videos, tools, and workshops for artists interested in cold wax.
So they could offer even more to artists everywhere, in 2020 they combined all their business ventures into one, called:

Say Hello To Jerry
Jerry McLaughlin has been a working visual artist for twenty years and exhibits at galleries throughout the US. An expert in all things cold wax, he focuses his major energies on painting, teaching, and writing. Trained as a pediatric intensive care physician, he also holds a certificate in adult education from the University of Washington. Jerry is extremely passionate about teaching. His strength lies in identifying and addressing his students’ individual needs. Jerry also has an active artist mentoring practice.
His strong, minimalist work is in collections around the world. Jerry and his husband, Mike, live in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico with their dog Bert.
Say Hello To Rebecca
Rebecca Crowell, MFA, is an abstract artist known for rich, complex surfaces created with cold wax medium and oil paint. Her work is included in hundreds of art collections–private, public, and corporate, including several large public commissions. She exhibits regularly in fine art galleries across the country.
Crowell travels extensively in the US and internationally for teaching and artist residencies, and these experiences have significant impact on her work. The rugged coastal areas of County Mayo, Ireland have been particularly important; she returns annually to Ballinglen Arts Foundation to teach and paint. When not traveling, Crowell divides her time between homes she shares with her husband Don in rural Wisconsin and a restored adobe in the dramatic landscape of northern NM.
Administrative Support / Customer Care
Mary has worked as a visual artist for over 25 years. She has supported the arts community through her previous work as Programs and Exhibitions Manager at Arts Benicia. Her background in program management includes organizing artist workshops, website development, newsletter publishing, marketing, and customer service. She also manages regular figure drawing sessions and teaches drawing. Mary also has a small business, Shawtecs, through which she curates and installs art exhibitions.
Mary has a B.F.A. in Drawing and Painting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a figurative artist and frequently casts her subjects in the context of literary, political, and historical references. She lives with her musician husband Andy and their two cats in Benicia, CA.

Jerry McLaughlin is an abstract artist best known for his minimalist, textured, geometric paintings. His work considers the interplay between beauty and darkness while simultaneously exploring the materiality of cold wax medium. He initially trained as a Pediatric Critical Care physician, an influence still palpable. He lives and paints in Mexico.
